Here are the results of the yesterday's survey.

Big number of participants: 1754 citizens filled up the form! (more than the votes for the article 1300!!!)

1. Who will be the next BIG guy of the New World?

My intention was to see the perception of who's will be the most powerful country in terms of damage.

My opinion is that Poland has the biggest damage and they will still be for a while in this position, followed close by Serbia.

But here are the results, maybe affected by the last battle of Liaoning and Serbia's huge damage, maybe that's the truth.

Scandals in eGreece!

eGreece was rocked by a series of scandals: Two former vice-Ministers of the Ministry of Young Players were accused and found guilty of embezzeling some thousands of Greek drachmas. Both the names of the guilty parties have been given to the public after a thourough investigation. The affair caused much disgust within the populace and has shaken its faith in the political parties (one of those found guilty was the head of a large party and former candidate for the Presidency.

At the same time a saudid affair of an attempted blackmail against a (said) holder of multiple accounts has caused deep divisions in eGreek society, with some accusing the blackmailer, some accusing the multier and most just being disgusted! The same affair has at its heart the military groups that dominate Greek poblic discource, and their role in politics...

The Great Greco-Israeli Retaliation

Hell has emerged in Eastern Europe and Asia as Eden and Sol fight off Phoenix seeking their revenge against Phoenix's agressions aswell as their destruction of the Polish empire. In the middle of this conflict stands Hungary targetted by most of Eden.

However in the duration of all this chaos the Greeks and Israeli's have taken their oppurtunity to punish the bully of the Middel east. The Turks as we know have always been the aggressors of the troubled region. Because they can no longer bully Greece (due to their fear of the nation) they decided to bully the small nation of Israel. They have done so various times but this time it might cost them dearly.

An joint assualt by Greece and Israel has been made on the economic hub of Turkey: the mediterranean coast. This is by far the most important region of Turkey due to it's resources, population and the fact that Turkey only has a Q5 hospital in the area. Losing this region could destroy Turkey's economy and therefore war effort especially with the possibility of a further assualt on Marmara ( the other only Q5 hospital region).

With the Israeli's assualt being aided by the vengful Poles, the Greeks assualt aiding the Israeli assualt and the Turks allies distracted in Asia and eastern Europe it is very possibly that the region could fall to Eden and that justice is finally served to this aggressive nation.

So far military reports confirm that the Turkic warriors are being overun in the countryside and suburbs as allied units press for Antalaya.

Sim Junta is actually a test version of a commercial game for a series of coffee break strategy games that icehole wanted to develop. The game was never developed in its commercial version because the necessary resources never materialised. But since it was great fun to play ICEHOLE decided to release it as freeware.

Who won the first day of WWV - PHOENIX or EDEN?

Rhone Alps
This was a great victory for PHOENIX. This is Polands most valuable region, with high wood and an original wall of over 1,000,000. However, Slovenia and MPPs were able to take this from Poland - in what is being called one of the greatest battles of all time. Both EDEN and PHOENIX did over 10,000,000 damage - EDEN had the advantage of an original 1,000,000+ wall, but PHOENIX managed to take it down.
Soldiers from every country in the world turned up, epitomising the rest of the first day of World War 5 - that this is the biggest war the eWorld has ever seen. There is no such thing as a neutral in this war.

Canary Islands
This is an original region of Spain, given to their closest allies Poland. Poland spent over 4000GOLD to declare war on Mexico, who have High Oil (something which Poland do not have). It would also be a gateway into South America - which has 12 High Raw Materials in tiny countries - together, these small countries have a combined population of 7209 - a tiny country like Bulgaria could challenge that.
However, there was a huge fiasco for EDEN - over 5000GOLD spent, and those sneaky Brazilians attacked the Canary Islands - and took it. Poland had wasted a huge amount of GOLD.
Yet another blow for EDEN - Poland loses a huge amount of GOLD, and Spain loses an original region. PHOENIX wins again.

Russia vs Poland
Russia did what many thought was unthinkable - attack original regions of Poland. They successfully took Pomerania. This allowed them to march through Poland and on into Germany, taking Berlin from the Polish - Polands other High Resource region.
Another huge win for PHOENIX - and another huge detriment to Poland.

Romania vs Hungary
Now, we finally have a tiny upside for EDEN.
Romania, whilst Hungary was distracted by other battles, managed to take Northern Great Plain.
Romania today move on to Northern Hungary.
However, this could provide later complications - Romania have awoken a sleeping giant, and activated 13 of her MPPs. Romania are on the winning foot for now, but when the other fronts of the war begin to close, Hungary and its 13 powerful MPPs will start to ask questions of Romania.


So who won the first day of the new World War?
PHOENIX - without a doubt. PHOENIX ripped apart Poland yesterday, taking all of Polands high-resource regions
PHOENIX also wasted 5000G of EDENs, and stopped EDEN advancing into resource-rich South America, and into the USA.
EDEN took a blow on almost every battlefield.
However, the small win for EDEN on the Romanian/Hungarian war was nothing compared to the PHOENIX wins - Hungarian regions cannot be held, and Romania cannot win.

So the winners of the first day are PHOENIX - and now the second day has begun!

The Great All Out Assualt


Serbian tank division - Slavonia, Croatia

Today marks one of the biggest assualts Phoenix has done and started for a while. The Hungarians and Serbians have made a large simulatenous attack against Croatia in the Balkans, the Russians have attacked the Polish from Kalingrad in the Baltic, the Indonesians are waging war against the Americans in the Pacific, the Turks have struck the Israeli's at Haifa in the middel east and the Romanians have responded to those attacks with an assualt on Hungary.

It is an assualt of large proportions which will must likely lead to an new age of Total War in the new world. It is the begining of a troubled time and the begining of a great oppurtinity of conquest and great threat of being the victim of conquest.

Phoenix will be brutal and merciless to our allies as usual so NOW is the time to UNITE with our allies and give hell to the enemy.

So comrades fight for our allies and prepare for what is to be the most epic of wars since Greek soldiers occupied eastern Anatolia. I have the feeling that another shall break out between Greece and Turkey as a result of this suprise attack Phoenix has done to Eden which will mean that most powers will have other priorities.
